Whimsy, Psychedelia and Gulf‑Inspired Beauty in Newhouse’s Art

Published on

Cindi Linscott Newhouse is a lifelong lover of art that has manifested in many forms for her—basket making, collage, and painting in oils, watercolor and acrylic on canvas, paper and wood.

She also loves dogs and has been accepted into ArtPrize 9, the largest juried art show in the world, representing 40 countries. Newhouse’s love of art and dogs has inspired her to create a wonderful blend of bright psychedelic colors in her animal portraits. She enjoys presenting families with beautiful, whimsical paintings that will be cherished forever.

Newhouse has also fallen in love with the Gulf of Mexico and all of its beauty. She loves to capture the stillness of sandpipers as they skitter about the waves.

The artist, whose work is featured at the Walton County Coastal Library in Santa Rosa Beach throughout September, is available for commissioned pieces, and her art can be found in galleries and collectors’ homes across America.

Newhouse can be reached at 615‑319‑2100 for private and group art lessons.
