Due to popular demand, Emerald Coast Theatre Company (ECTC)—a nonprofit professional theater company founded in Miramar Beach in 2012 by Nathanael and Anna Fisher—is adding another offering to its 2017 Children’s Summer Theater Camp Series, bringing the total to 14 programs offered throughout the Northwest Florida Gulf Coast.
The new offering is Treasure Island and will be held July 17-21 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Bay Elementary in Santa Rosa Beach. It is open to grades 2 through 8 and is $170 per person.
Other upcoming programs include Gulf Coast State College in Panama City July 24-28 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Extended drop off/pickup is available from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuition is $150.
Disney’s “Cinderella Kids” Musical Theater Camp (for grades 3 through 9) will be held July 10-29 at ECTC’s Grand Boulevard location, weekdays only from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuition is $425.
This three-week camp gives ECTC instructors time with young thespians to train them with stage presence, acting techniques and theater games. Poor Cinderella is endlessly mistreated by her wicked stepmother and stepsisters and denied a chance to go to the royal ball. With a little help from her mice friends—and a lot of help from her Fairy Godmother—Cinderella’s dreams come true. Final performances are the Friday evening and Saturday morning of the last week of camp. Bring water, snack and a lunch each day.
