Record Store Day 2017

Published on

Record Store Day happens Saturday, April 22, both nationwide and locally.

Seaside’s Central Square Records (centralsquarerecords.com) will open its doors at 8 a.m. “with Jittery Joe’s coffee at the ready!” Expect a vinyl-lover’s wet dream, with exclusive items, rare and limited pressed vinyl, and great freebies. For more info, call 850-231-5669.

Fort Walton Vintage Records, located on Racetrack Road in Fort Walton Beach, will offer limited edition t-shirts, half-price $5 and $10 albums, a $1 record bin, along with a variety of exclusive Record Store Day stock. Plus—deals on record cleaners, 15 percent off most electronics, and most guitars at half price. Doors open at 7 a.m.

“From a musical perspective, I’m excited about Robert Johnson’s three-LP set that includes all 42 known recordings for the first time ever in one vinyl set,” says store owner Tim Willi. “From a novelty perspective, there’s Peter Tosh’s Legalize It LP. The sleeve smells like ganja. How fun!”
