Wines to Try – Trivento Malbec

Published on

As recently as the 1990s, many Argentine wineries produced crude, inconsistent wines that were heavy and lacked balance. Today, more wineries are making consistently better, cleaner, and more satisfying selections that appeal worldwide.

This wine is from the Mendoza region, which has been producing some of the best Malbecs and delivering quality across all price points.

Trivento Malbec has a gorgeous nose, exhibiting an array of aromas such as peppery mulberry, sour and black cherry, violets and a subtle touch of wild strawberry jam. On the palate, a well‑structured, smooth, dry wine full of rich, dark fruit flavors like plums.  Tannins are impressively silky. It has a long, satisfying finish.

This wine goes well with lean cuts of meat like flank, sirloin and skirt steak. When you want to change it up a bit, it pairs well with chicken and other meats like lamb and pork.

We would be happy to pour Trivento Malbec for you at Twisted Grape Wine Bar in Shalimar, by the glass or bottle.
