PROFESSION: Acoustic musician, singer and songwriter.
HOBBIES: Documenting the life of my dog through photos, baking pies (highly superior to cake), painting poorly, roller skating, smiling for no good reason, and travel. I backpacked through Europe for two months last year and can’t wait to do it again. There is so much to see.
LAST BOOK I READ: Eleven Minutes by Paulo Coelho. Love, love, love this author. Everyone should read The Alchemist—seriously, go buy it.
RECENT ACCOMPLISHMENTS: Finding the courage to quit my day job and pursue what I love full time. Next challenge—finish my EP.
QUOTE: “It is our choices that show us what we truly are, far more than our abilities.” – JK Rowling.
PROFILE: I am a new artist in the area, alternating my set between the ukulele and the guitar. It is my goal to play music that everyone will enjoy, but I really love the oldies. I also write original music with influences such as Ingrid Michaelson, Regina Spektor, and Belle and Sebastian.
I recently moved to Santa Rosa Beach and began scooting my way into the music scene. One of the things I appreciate about this area is how supportive everyone is toward one another.
I play Sundays at Chiringo and spots like Steamboat Bar and Grill, the Perfect Pig and Carrabba’s for their monthly wine dinner. I also love to hang and play at 30A Songwriter Music & Coffee where I recently participated in their Bob Dylan tribute.
FAVORITE FREE ENTERTAINMENT PUBLICATION: The Beachcomber, duh!
We met Gleason at the aforementioned Dylan tribute show—dubbed “Bob Fest” by Ed Wrann—and knew we had to feature her right away. Especially since we got a good picture of her reading The Beachcomber.
