Entering its 16th year, the Telluride MountainFilm on Tour returns to WaterColor Inn & Resort’s Marina Park Amphitheater—an outdoor theater located on the St. Joe Club & Resorts property—Nov. 4 and 5, showcasing a selection of films from the International Film Festival and furthering the MountainFilm mission of exploring cultures, preserving environments, and promoting adventure.
Delta Air Lines and Visit South Walton are premier sponsors of the annual outdoor festival, which will once again incorporate Kidz Kino, a mini-festival for attendees ages 6-12 that features kid-friendly films at the WaterColor® BoatHouse.
Film selections cover a wide range of topics, from an epic ski journey across Russia in The Great Siberian Traverse, to the cultural evolution of Bolivia’s female wrestlers in The Wrestling Cholita. “MountainFilm has been a vital component of our events calendar for the past 15 years. The support of this community and film enthusiasts alike make the festival stronger each year,” says Andrew Czarnecki, Managing Director of Resort Operations for St. Joe Club & Resorts. “We look forward to continuing this tradition on our beautiful WaterColor® Inn property for many more years to come.”
To fully immerse in the experience, those who stay at the WaterColor Inn & Resort during MountainFilm on Tour can take advantage of a festival lodging package ($505 per night), which includes two nights (minimum) in a beachfront guest room at the Inn, as well as two complimentary tickets to both nights of the event. Price does not include taxes and fees. In addition to four-star lodging and amenities, guests may enjoy:
- Nightly turndown service with freshly baked cookies.
- Use of two complimentary bicycles to explore the resort.
- Use of complimentary canoes & kayaks on Western Lake.
- Use of the WaterColor® WorkOut fitness facilities.
The property features four onsite restaurants and access to two private golf clubs—Shark’s Tooth and Camp Creek, in addition to preferred rates at the executive-length Origins Golf Club—a private beach club, six resort pools, and much more for the whole family.
Gates open at 6 p.m. with films beginning at 7. Tickets are now available online at mountainfilmfl.com for $30 per day or $50 for a two-day weekend pass. Tickets purchased at the gate are $35 per day or $60 for a two-day weekend pass, based on availability. Kidz Kino day passes may be purchased for $30 in advance or $35 at the door—parents must be present to sign their children in and out of the BoatHouse. For more information on this new offering, interested parties may call 850-534-5975. Food, beer and wine will also be available for purchase at the festival.
Additional vacation packages are available at other St. Joe Club & Resorts properties, including the Pearl Hotel and at St. Joe Club & Resorts’ collection of 300-plus vacation rental homes all along the Emerald Coast.
