These Fine Moments are Hilary Kaufmann and Robert Watts, an Austin, Texas‑based duo with an evocative blend of ‘60s and ‘70s pop‑rock (think Fleetwood Mac, Hollies, Beatles) and American indie pop (Jayhawks, Decemberists, Shovels & Rope).
Their songs convey rich imagery and weave intriguing stories and situations of joy and pain, love and loss, and wanting and wanting not—all delivered with strong vocals in parallel harmonies.
TFM’s fourth album, Patience, has reached the ears of listeners from Berkley, California to New Orleans to London. The latest release has been featured on numerous podcasts nationwide, and the title cut appeared on Texas Music magazine’s 2015 summer compilation.
Kaufmann and Watts perform at Fort Walton Beach’s Beachcomber Music Award winning venue The Green Door Friday, Sept. 9, after which they’ll head down to Islamadora, Tampa and Orlando. Discover more at thesefinemoments.com.
