Beachcomber Music Awards Return to AJ’s Feb. 29

Published on

“I’ve lived along 30A my entire life. I visit venues regularly from Panama City to Pensacola. I’ve made friendships so deep that I consider them family. I’ve seen childhood heroes and cheered my friends on as they reached for their goals.

“In many ways, our slice of the world is straddling between big changes and wanting to retain our sense of community. It’s a difficult position to maintain, and one that we will only make it through if we are able to rely on each other.

“This is why the Beachcomber Music Awards matter. Every year, the awards expand to include more categories. Every year, first-time nominees are placed beside the Hall of Famers. Every year, we have an opportunity to nominate and then vote on our pool of talented musicians—celebrating who had the best original albums or who performed their hearts out gaining fans across the region.

“The awards are a celebration of us—each one of us that lives here. A celebration that says we love music and a good time, and that the arts always matter to us.”

– Nikki Hedrick
